James Hollingsworth at The Cricketers, Coronation Rd, Littlewick Green, Maidenhead, Berkshire

James’ performance was captivating…truly so, as many followed him to the intimate surroundings of the Bar Stage later in the afternoon, where an equally diverse mixture of songs and styles was in evidence." - Abbey Mill Folk Festival, 2006

He has been introduced (much to his embarrassment) as one of the greatest acoustic guitarists in the world. It is easy to see why when you see the dazzling array of styles he performs with effortless brilliance, but at the same time he considers himself as a singer of songs, rather than a guitar technician.

"This eclectic combination buzz and fizz together, producing
modern acoustic folk music of the very highest quality. The set-up of
flute, fiddle and clarsaich brings to mind early Chieftains and the
playing is of as high a quality." - Maverick Magazine, July 2007 The
Outside Track are quickly earning themselves a reputation as one of the
most exciting new bands on the scene. With a truly diverse international
line-up, they combine music from all their different cultures to form a
distinct and dynamic musical sound. Norah Rendell (Canada) plays flute
and sings beautifully; Ailie Robertson (Scotland) plays clarsach (harp)
and electroharp; Tricia Clark (England) plays fiddle and bouzouki and
sings delightful harmonies; Fiona Black (Scotland) plays accordion and
Alan Jordan, the only Irish member and the only man in the outfit plays
guitar, sings harmonies and takes the lead on the occasional Irish
language song. Their five talents combine in expressive, energetic
arrangements that deliver traditional music with a modern twist.

Club Night at The Sunray Folk Club, Broadmayne Village Hall, Broadmayne, Dorset
James Hollingsworth at The Golden Fleece, Nelson Street, Stroud, Gloucestershire GL5 2HN
"James Hollingsworth’s main stage set on the Saturday afternoon of the festival ranged from what was grounded in the traditional – a voice buzzing in the ear, the familiar plucked guitar – to what seemed to border on the celestial, as both voice and a much effected, but delicately measured, acoustic guitar swept back and forth across the arena. James’ performance was captivating…truly so, as many followed him to the intimate surroundings of the Bar Stage later in the afternoon, where an equally diverse mixture of songs and styles was in evidence." - Abbey Mill Folk Festival, 2006

Billy Teare & Kathleen O'Sullivan at Shammick Acoustic Sessions, The Castle Inn, High Street, Combe Martin, North Devon
“This man is a master storyteller, in word and in song, from Northern Ireland and has worked all over the British Isles, Europe and North America. His tales are full of humour, and his ability to engage his audience is extraordinary. Complementing Billy's unpredictable antics and huge stage presence is the charm and clear characterful voice of Kathleen, a London Irish singer. Together they make a formidable story and song combination. An unusual and entertaining evening not to be missed!"

An hour later there is a 'hotspot' which features a special guest. After the hotspot it's back to the regular session and the evening usually ends with the old favourite 'Goodnight Ireene Goodnight' featuring club organiser Garry Davis and his harmonica with other musicians and singers."
