The Broadside Folk Club, Milton, Portsmouth Meets every Wednesday evening with occasional guests. The Maypole Band "The Maypole band are a group of acoustic musicians who have been providing music for barn dances for years & years, some of the members have been performing at these event since the 1960's. If you are stuck for ideas to provide enjoyable but alternative entertainment for an event then contact the Maypole band. The group, whilst acoustic, does provide good quality amplification & they have their own dance 'caller' who will select dances suitable for the skill level of the dancers & will, as the evening unfolds, teach more complex dances."
Skimmington Ride "Not so much a band, more a tradition, a group of musicians calling themselves Skimmington Ride have been playing folk music in pubs for something over twenty five years."
