Lakeland Fiddlers
"The Lakeland Fiddlers formed in 2000, having grown from Adult Education classes held at the Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal and in Ulverston. Lakeland Fiddlers have evolved from being a class, to a community band, appearing regularly at local festivals and fairs, playing for occasional parties and weddings, appearing at the Sage Gateshead where they had the honour of playing for the “Fiddle Dance” at Fiddles on Fire in April 2007, and most recently appearing at the Furness Tradition Festival in Ulverston in July 2007."

The event will follow a folk club singaround format, with no amplification or sound reinforcement, but there is abolutely no restriction on the styles of music being performed - folk, roots, pop, rock, jazz, world, techno if you must - anything goes so long as it is played with unamplified instrumentation.
Anyone is welcome to turn up either to perform or to watch and listen, and admission is free.
