Lighting up the stage with joy and verve has always been Shooglenifty’s usp, but with new fiddler in the shape of pint-sized force of nature Eilidh Shaw well and truly established, they are on fire. Fresh from some high profile appearances including a sell-out show at the Edinburgh International Festivalin 2019, a major tour of New Zealand and a midnight show at Edinburgh’s Hogmanay, the band are ready to celebrate another milestone.
A new album to mark 30 years together has just been recorded and will be released later in 2020. A major documentary about the Shoogles and how they’ve coped with the loss of their former fiddler Angus will also be ready in the anniversary year.Shooglenifty will get you on your feet with their electric new tunes and a full-on set of old favourites.
